A ring group is a set of destinations that is called a ring strategy.
Access the Ring Group via the CMS Portal: CONFIG > GENERAL > RING GROUP.
The first screen/dashboard that the user will see after clicking on the Ring Group tab will be:

How to add a Ring Group?
Step 1: Click the + Add Ring Group on the top left to add a new ring group.
Step 2: A new Ring Group - Add page opens for the user to enter the Ring Group Details. The screenshot for reference is below:
Mandatory parameters are marked with an asterisk () icon against the file name and must be filled out before saving/submitting the ring group details form. Clicking on the 'Cancel' button will discard the form changes and take the user back to the dashboard.
Description of Add-Ring Group Details fields:
Form Fields | Description |

Line of Business | Select the line of business from the drop-down list. |
Name | A meaningful name for this ring group. This name is used in the Destination select list. |
Extension | The extension number for this ring group. (This is auto generated and cannot be changed). |
Greeting | Play a sound file upon calling the Ring Group extension. |
Strategy |
Select the way in which the destinations are being used.

Timeout Destination | Set the destination to channel when the max wait time is reached. |
Call Timeout | To set the timeout for the call ringing. (In seconds) |
Caller ID Name | Set the caller ID name for outbound external calls. |
Caller ID Number | Choose the caller ID number from the dropdown menu. This will set the caller ID number for the outbound external calls. |
Ring Back | The Default music here will be "us-ring", this is what the caller will hear when they are waiting for the Destinations to answer. |
Missed Calls | Select the notification type from the dropdown menu when you miss any calls. |
Forwarding |
Disabled: Select disabled to not use the forwarding function. Enabled: Select this option to enable the forwarding function and add the call forwarding number to the box below. |

Destination |
The number for the ring group to call is the destination number. Destinations can only be locally registered endpoints or external numbers.

Click on this option to add more destinations to the ring group. |
Step 3: Click Save to Add Ring Group once complete and click cancel to discard the added ring group.
How to Search an existing Ring Group?
Step 1: Click the Advanced Search on the left for an existing ring group.
Step 2: After clicking, you will see the below screen:
Enter all the details as mentioned for the desired search.
Step 3: Click Search to view the desired ring group details. Click clear to discard the search.
