It’s very important for laptop users—especially agents and supervisors involved in calling functionalities—to follow the standard operating procedure before setting their status to "Available" to receive calls.
When logging into the Agent Portal, users must ensure:
- If the padlock icons for both the speaker and microphone are green, you're good to proceed. However, if either icon appears red, please check your browser settings by following the steps below. Until the issue is resolved, do not change your status to "Available" or initiate any outbound calls.
- Microphone access is allowed. Browser settings typically offer three options: "Always Allow," "Ask (Default)," and "Deny." The recommended setting is "Always Allow."
- If the laptop is set to "Ask (Default)," it is the user's responsibility to grant permission each time the browser prompts.
Note: Failure to provide proper permissions can lead to issues such as:- Missed calls
- Call drops
- Audio problems
Following these steps helps ensure a smooth calling experience and minimizes disruptions.
